Thank you for using Halati, your personal mood journal. This Privacy Policy explains what information Halati collects and how it is stored and used. Our core principle is privacy:
your data is yours, and it stays on your device.
Information We Collect
Halati is designed to work entirely offline without requiring any personal information. We do
not collect personally identifiable information like your name, email, or location. The app does not require an account to use.
The only data the app collects is the data you create within it:
- Mood Entries: The mood you select (e.g., “Great,” “Good,” “Meh,” “Bad,” “Awful”) and the date and time of the entry.
- Activities: Any activities you associate with a mood entry (e.g., “work,” “relax,” “friends”).
- Notes: Optional text notes you add to an entry.
- Settings: App-specific settings, such as your preferred reminder time.
How We Use Your Information
Your information is used solely to provide you with the app’s features on your own device. This includes:
- Displaying your mood history in the timeline and calendar views.
- Calculating statistics and generating charts to help you visualize your mood patterns.
- Scheduling local notifications for your daily reminder, if you enable them.
Data Storage and Security
All data you enter in Halati is stored exclusively on the local storage of your device.
- Your data does not leave your device and is not sent to any server.
- If you delete the app from your device, all of its data is permanently deleted as well.
- You can enable an optional PIN or Biometric lock within the app’s settings for an added layer of security.
Data Sharing
We do not have access to your data, so we cannot and do not share it with any third parties. The only way for your data to leave your device is if you intentionally use the
manual CSV Export feature to create a file of your data to save or share yourself.
Children’s Privacy
We do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. All app functionality is available offline, and since no data is transmitted to us, we have no way of collecting such information.
