Zoony (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application INDX: Smart Budgeting with AI (the “App”)1.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly to us, as well as data automatically collected during your use of the App.
A. Personal Information
When you register or use the App, we may collect the following personal information:
Account Information: Name and email address when you sign up via Email/Password or Google OAuth2.
Financial Data: Income, expense transactions, budget limits, savings goals, bill due dates, and account balances (checking, savings, investment, crypto, cash)
B. Device and Usage Information
Device Information: We may collect information about your mobile device, including device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers for push notifications4.
Biometric Data: We use Face ID or Touch ID for secure authentication5. This data is processed locally on your device using
expo-local-authenticationand is never transmitted to our servers or third parties
C. Sensory Data
Camera Data: We request access to your device’s camera to enable the Receipt Scanning feature7. Images are captured solely for the purpose of extracting transaction details (amount, merchant, date) via AI-powered Optical Character Recognition (OCR)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
Core Functionality: To provide expense tracking, budget monitoring, bill reminders, and goal tracking features
AI Insights: We use artificial intelligence to analyze your spending patterns, provide personalized financial tips, and categorize expenses automatically
Data Synchronization: If you choose to enable cloud sync, we use Firebase Firestore to synchronize your data across multiple devices
Notifications: To send you daily insights, spending alerts, budget warnings, and bill reminders
3. Data Storage and Security
Local Storage: By default, your data is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage13. You can use the App fully offline
Cloud Sync: If enabled, your data is securely synced to the cloud using Google Firebase15. Data transmitted to the cloud is encrypted in transit and isolated per user via security rules
Security Measures: We implement industry-standard security measures, including secure token storage and biometric protection, to safeguard your personal information
4. Third-Party Services
We partner with the following third-party services to facilitate our App’s features. These services may process data in accordance with their own privacy policies:
Google Firebase (Auth & Firestore): Used for user authentication (Email/Google) and cloud data synchronization
OpenRouter AI: We transmit text data and receipt data to OpenRouter AI to generate financial insights and perform OCR on receipts
Google OAuth: Used for easy sign-in authentication21.
Note: We do not sell or share your personal data with advertisers or unauthorized third parties22.
5. User Rights and Data Control
Access and Correction: You can view and edit your profile, transactions, and goals directly within the App.
Data Deletion: You have the right to delete your account and all associated data23. This action removes your data from both local storage and our cloud servers.
Opt-Out: You can manage or disable push notifications and biometric login in the Settings scree
6. Children’s Privacy
Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy.
